TODA Intern Criteria & InformationDescription of Responsibilities for TODA Interns: This is a great way to meet and network with accomplished Texas Orchestra directors throughout the state while also gaining an understanding of all the behind-the-scenes work that goes into putting on our exemplary Summer Convention. TODA Interns will serve as assistants to the TODA Executive Board members in a variety of capacities throughout the Convention, from set-up/tear-down of rooms, to facilitating a smooth registration process, to assisting with our special events and receptions. Intern responsibilities begin on Wednesday, July 24th, and conclude on Saturday, July 27th, 2024. Interns are also invited to volunteer at our beginning-of-year High School Student Leadership Day, and assist various events throughout the 2024–2025 academic year.
Selected students will have Convention Registration Fees waived, and receive a $200 honorarium to cover food and parking costs, but are otherwise responsible for all finances associated with attending Convention (i.e. travel & lodging).
Qualified applicants are considered without regard to age, race, color, religion, sex, national origin, sexual orientation, disability or veteran status.
